Updated:Katie Walker wanted her math teachings to come alive, so she entered an essay for Sonic’s “Limeades for Learning” campaign where the general public votes on what projects they want to see happen.
Her motive was to bring technology into the classroom that would excite and engage her students.
“3D printing technology is something that we’re seeing everyday in the world around us,” Katie Walker states, “and so, I felt like it was a really great hands-on way to get them excited about learning and learning concepts at school and then they could actually create something that they thought up and they designed and that just makes the learning process more authentic and real to my students.”
