Students at Hunters Creek Elementary School and Landrum Middle School will walk into completely new buildings when the Spring Branch ISD School year starts on Aug. 16.
The replacement schools are part of the ongoing projects from the $898 million 2017 Spring Branch ISD bond.
The old Hunters Creek Elementary School building — a one-story building that was built in 1954 — is being replaced by a two-story building which includes larger classrooms which all have ActivBoards (interactive smart screens).
The new building will include a new gymnasium and adjacent cafeteria whose space can be combined for larger functions.
