Say goodbye to the cramped modulars and the old grocery store building because a shiny, all new state of the art Swallows Charter Academy is opening soon in Pueblo West.
Swallows Charter Academy’s brand new $20 million kindergarten through eighth-grade school building will be ready for the first day of classes in August. Academy students will be able to see it in person if concerns with the coronavirus pandemic allow.
“It is all very modern, state of the art and very nice especially since we haven’t had all of this,” said Cindy Compton, executive director. “We will start school on time (Aug. 12 or 13) in terms of construction, but we are waiting to hear from the state what we will be looking at,” in terms of in-person classes.
