A Wedgewood Elementary School teacher, Domenick Renzi, has brought play time to the classroom with his incredible Lego skills and lessons.
“When I was young, I was big on building the Legos at home,” Renzi said. “When I started teaching I lost interest” said Renzi. “Lego, in recent years, has really expanded the market for adults. When I saw all those changes in Lego, it kind of reignited my passion for it.”
Renzi has been teaching basic math skills for 24 years. His love for Legos has allowed the Washington Township-based school to receive a $420 grant from the Matsinger Family’s “Next Door” Foundation to transform an unused hallway into a Lego Makerspace for students at the school.
