This Umbrella is big enough for all – Lowell Sun

The Umbrella Community Arts Center is having an Open House Celebration on Saturday, from noon to 3 p.m., 40 Stow St., Concord. Everyone is welcome to marvel at the Art Center’s newly renovated art gallery, ceramics studios, classrooms, dance studio, maker’s space and multitheater performing-arts facilities, all located in the historic Emerson School Building.

The event is a free-for-all featuring a wide variety of exhibits, facility tours and family-friendly activities. Refreshments will be served.

“We are going to have some demonstrations of the artists’ classes, we’re going to have demonstrations of dance classes, and we will probably have a collaborative ceramics event,” says Stewart Ikeda, director of marketing and communications at the Umbrella Arts Center. “We are also going to have demonstrations of some things like woodshop and the…
