Sally Young has lived in Watertown for nearly 50 years. She never experienced a pandemic before. An artist and grandmother missing her community of craftsmen and creators during the year of off-time, Young and her friends had an idea.

As the weather’s warmed up the past couple of weeks, people have had another reason to step outside and take a walk around the block or the entirety of Watertown. YardArt is a townwide exhibit of more than 130 artists’ creations, and their work can be found right in their front yards or porches. The exhibition began March 5 and will run through April 4. Let’s go for a walk.
“We had no idea it’d take off like this,” Young said. “We thought we’d get 50 people max.”
