Madison’s textile arts community has a new place to learn and gather on the North Side.
MicroMyco Growers owner Andrew Griffin talks what goes into mushroom growing in an urban setting, and how much product he produces for customers.
The Textile Arts Center of Madison, located at 2436 Pennsylvania Ave. inside a 4,000-square-foot warehouse, had its soft opening in late October, said co-founder Elizabeth Tucker, who has an art history and arts administration background.
She runs the nonprofit with co-founder Heather Kohlmeier, who has a background in ceramics, and is pursuing a graduate degree in fine arts with a focus on textiles from UW-Madison.
