When people were stuck at home with nothing better to do at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, many found themselves drawn to new hobbies. Sewing, papermaking, ceramics, woodworking and the like are accessible for beginners, but if you’re looking to move beyond the basics costs can quickly skyrocket.
That realization is what led Tiffany Amirkhanian to create Druid City Makerspace.
“My husband and I were talking about how a lot of people were slowing down and turning to hobbies in some of that downtime and how good that was for you to have a creative outlet,” Amirkhanian said.
