The Fort Morgan Library & Museum will be accepting entries for two different Patron Art Challenges during the month of March
One of the challenges is focused on travels and is tied in with a new Museum Lower Gallery exhibit to run March 5 through May 25. The second is a “back by popular demand” challenge to creatively re-create popular or classic media like movies, books or art works (see flier for examples).
“The Travels” art challenge is related to the new gallery exhibit titled “1773 Scotland: An Illustrated Account of Johnson and Boswell’s Tour.” The exhibit contains 65 historically re-created paintings of locations visited by the Johnson & Boswell tour. The paintings were completed in 2018, more than 200 years after their initial tour. The artist completed the project during numerous trips to the original locations.
