FLINT, MI — Flint’s community makerspace is planning to host a free night of demos from several artists and makers who will showcase their different crafts.
Factory Two presents Night at the Makerspace from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 20 at the makerspace, 129 N. Grand Traverse St., in Flint.
Flint’s community makerspace will host ten artists and makers providing demos of their craft, ranging from guitar making and laser cutting to screen printing and blacksmithing, according to a Factory Two news release.
One of them is Josh Ellingson, a San Francisco-based artist, who originally hails from Flint. In a previous visit Ellingson painted the ‘two robots’ mural on Factory Two’s north side as part of the Flint Public Art Project’s mural initiative.
On this trip he will be using the makerspace’s electronics lab to demonstrate an illusion technique that is over 150 years old. A…
