Duluth MakerSpace brings big ideas to life

Today on GMN the executive Director of the Duluth Makerspace, Mike Olson, joined Sierra Naess to talk about how people can use the space.

If you have ever wondered where to bring your big ideas to life, Duluth MakerSpace is for you. It is a vibrant non-profit community shop that offers an array of creative outlets, including a fully equipped wood shop, metal shop, 3D printing facilities, industrial lasers, and a pottery studio.

Executive Director Mike Olson describes it as a hidden gem where individuals can unleash their big ideas.

“It’s the best kept secret in Duluth,” Mike Olson told Good Morning Northland. “I took a class there [at MakerSpace], and I thought I was going to buy a tool and bring it home. Instead I thought look at all the stuff around here. All the things I can learn and do, and get involved in.”
