As the small group of Sugar Creek Elementary School third-graders walked into the room next to the library on a recent Thursday afternoon, their eyes lit up.
âIâve been wondering what this room is for,â one exclaimed as she walked by the âMaker Spaceâ sign on the door.
It was, as the door said, the schoolâs new Maker Space, which opened in November and is being debuted to students throughout the school. The space is similar to those at the other three district attendance area elementary schools.
The technology coordinators and library directors at those schools hope parents will soon have the same wonderment as that third-grader. Each school will host a âMaker Nightâ concurrently Thursday, Jan. 19, to give parents a…
