Arts and crafts aren’t just for kids.
At a weekend event, adults will have the chance to try their hand at painting, ceramics, rosemaling and more. The Art Makerspace will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 24, at Alexandria Area High School.
In addition to trying different types of art, event attendees will have the chance to meet local artists and see examples of their work.
“What we’re excited about is that it’s an opportunity for people to come try some art mediums without having to invest in some of those materials,” said Cami Pexsa, adult enrichment coordinator for Community Education. “It’s a chance to come in, try a couple strokes, make a little project. They can see if it’s even for them, then sign up for more in-depth workshops.”
