LET THE SPARKS FLY. Club MTC Makerspace in Chippewa Falls has everything any gearhead could ever need. They hope to nurture startups with heavy tools and knowhow.
On the first day of Christmas MTC offered me … vinyl cutters, machine metal fabrication, a seriously loaded woodshop, welding and soldering set ups, computers teeming with design software, a laser engraving station … and a nested CNC Machine.
That truncated little jingle doesn’t do justice to the sheer amount of equipment you can find at Club MTC Makerspace (Machine Tool Camp) in Chippewa Falls, and yet there is still plenty of open space in their 7,500 square foot facility. Perhaps this untapped potential has played a part in motivating MTC into opening its doors for members of Club MTC, which is already being described as a “gym for makers.”
