The Milwaukee Makerspace is coming to St. Francis.
The city recently signed off on a property sale of the industrial property at 2517 E. Norwich Ave.
The Milwaukee Makerspace is “a place for people who like to build, invent, tinker and/or learn new skills and expand their minds,” according to the official Makerspace website. Members are allowed to visit 24/7 and have access to a wide array of equipment.
People interested in electronics, wood, software, metal, music, art, video, photography, sewing, textiles and more can make use of the space.
The main Milwaukee Makerspace location is at 2555 S. Lenox St. and will remain open. The St. Francis location will be considered an “annex” location, according to Tom Gralewicz of Makers Village Industrial Group and a founding member of the Milwaukee Makerspace.
