STAUNTON – Josh Lotts may look like a simple cowboy, with his large hat and country accent.
Underneath that brimmed hat is a brain swirling with ideas.
“I was curious as a small kid, the first thing I remember is taking something apart to see how it worked,” he said.
Lotts has invented a small insertable finger trigger to go on the remote control for RC cars. The trigger is made from a ball bearing that swivels and has a better grip, allowing the user to have a better control of speeds.
The invention allows for precision, a thing racers are looking for, Lotts said.
The Makerspace in downtown Staunton is a great way for Lotts to explore different tools to work his creative magic.
