NEWBURYPORT — The Institution for Savings, through its charitable foundation, awarded and pledged $648,982 in the third quarter, President and CEO Michael J. Jones recently announced.
The largest grants included two $100,000 payments to Essex County Greenbelt and to Citizens Inn as part of multiyear pledges for a conservation land purchase and the Haven from Hunger program, respectively.
The bank also granted $28,000 to YMCA of the North Shore for event and youth basketball sponsorships; $20,000 to The Pettengill House for programs; $16,800 to Pathways for Children for its family-centered programming and annual gala; $10,000 to Wellspring House for its Career Pathways program with Gloucester High School; $7,500 to the North Shore Community Development…
