BV Made, a local-led effort to bring a makerspace to Buena Vista, is nearing fruition. Letitia Pryor and Nicole Stephan have been working hard with their steering committee, and now, they say, it’s crunch time.
Stephan and Pryor met at a remote workers’ meet-up hosted by the Economic Development Corporation. They bonded over their shared interests in woodworking and creating. Stephan had built a teardrop camper in a makerspace in Boulder, and she felt Buena Vista would benefit from their own.
“It’s such an awesome community resource,” Stephan said. “I’m in an apartment right now. … We don’t have any space, and I can’t work (on projects).”
