NEW COLUMBIA — As she sat at a small table in the library at White Deer Elementary School, Sen. Lynda Schlegel-Culver (R-27) gently helped third-grade student Taryn Strous place together the parts of a small catapult.
Schlegel-Culver was among a group of state officials to visit the school to take a hands-on look at the fruits of a $200,000 state investment designed to benefit students in the Milton Area School District.
