Established in 2022, the Wellington County Library’s Seed Library was created with the goal of providing free access to seeds for anyone interested in gardening. If you’re on the fence about starting your own garden, keep in mind that there are many benefits to growing your own food. With the price of groceries these days, who wouldn’t want to save some money by eating great-tasting vegetables grown in your garden? You are in control of your food and helping to promote sustainability, not to mention staying active in the process.
Early sowing seed varieties are available now at our three Seed Library locations: the Fergus, Hillsburgh and Palmerston branches. More varieties will be added as the growing season progresses.
