Practice for the Mentor Christian School‘s robotics team has been more intense than usual recently, and for good reason.
“They are in game mode right now,” Coach Ben Rogers said.
It is because the team — consisting of students from sixth through 12th grades — is headed to the biggest of stages.
The MCS robotics team participates in The Best Robotics Competition and recently won a regional competition at Grove City College in Pennsylvania advancing to the National Championships in Denver in early December.
According to technical coach John Bradford, who helped found the team in 2017, it is the first robotics regional championship at the Grove City College hub for the school and they are trying to improve…
