We are renovating this Monmouth, Maine, farmhouse. We are COCO Housing: artists, writers, musicians and gardeners who love Maine, want to share resources, live in long-term affordable housing, and offer a supportive community to each other and the people around us. COCO stands for community-owned, community-operated.
We all have a deep love for the community, which is the reason that we are planning to establish a small housing co-op on the land, where we will share the farmhouse and land. Eventually, the farmhouse will become a community space, and we will move into our own private spaces in the back of the lot (A multi-unit, four-plex style building).
