GREENFIELD — After three years and several pandemic-related delays, The Hive makerspace on Main Street is prepared to open its doors to the community.
“We’re really excited to make a space like this in Greenfield,” said co-founder Rachael Katz.
An open house for the makerspace will take place on the second floor of the Greenfield Gallery on Saturday at around 12:45 p.m., following the unveiling of the new bee sculpture that coincides with the Bee Fest opening reception on the first floor of the gallery.
“With the bee energy in town, we named the space The Hive, and having named it that, what better day to have it be open house day,” Katz said.
The makerspace is a community workshop where people can come to use tools, share ideas, take workshops and collaborate on projects, according to the owners. The Hive will…
