New stretch target
We would be overjoyed if we raise even more than our target, as this would enable us to buy more equipment and resources to improve our facilities.
We are Fizzpop, Birmingham’s Makerspace. A Makerspace is exactly what it sounds like – a space full of tools and equipment that members can use to make things. But it’s so much more. Makerspaces are community centres and event spaces for people that “do” – in fact, a Makerspace democratises “doing” in a world where many people feel unable to. Makerspaces create makers – innovators, repairers, tinkerers, engineers – and empower them with the lathes, welders, laser cutters and industrial sewing machines they need to make. All for less than the cost of most gym memberships.
