HOLIDAY MARKET IN MANILA The Humboldt Holiday Market takes place Friday, Nov. 25 from noon to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 26 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Manila Community Center, 1611 Peninsula Drive in Manila. There will be food, drinks, music and local artisan vendors.
MCKINLEYVILLE CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION The annual Christmas Celebration takes place Thursday, Dec. 1 at the McKinleyville Shopping Center. There will be free kids’ activities, horse-drawn carriage rides, Christmas treats, crafts and more from 5 to 7:30 p.m. There will be Christmas music on the front lawn from 5 to 5:30 p.m., which is when Santa Claus arrives on a fire truck and lights a giant Christmas tree, sponsored by the McKinleyville Chamber of Commerce. Have your picture taken with Santa from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Bring your own camera.
