LUDLOW — The Ludlow Community Center/Randall Boys and Girls Club have hired Josue Irizarry as new president and chief executive officer.
Irizarry is from Windsor, Connecticut, and began his role on June 12.
The position became vacant after past president and CEO Mechilia “Chile” Salazar stepped down officially on April 14 after five years to pursue another opportunity to work with Robert Bolduc, who is starting Hope for Youth and Families Foundation in Springfield.
Irizarry said it is an opportunity to take over for Salazar.
“It’s an opportunity to build those relationships and continue to enhance those relationships that she has built but also to create my own relationships with people in the community. I think it is a great opportunity for me, a great opportunity for the club and my staff here.”…
