It’s October, which means the holiday season is right around the corner. If you’re a no-stress early planner when it comes to holiday gifts, Pikes Peak Library District has great resources for you. Every year, people throughout El Paso County use their library cards to tap into DIY books and library makerspaces to create custom gifts using 3D printers, laser engravers, sewing machines, vinyl and die-cutters, CNC machines (which cut designs in wood and plastic), button makers, hand tools, and other tools. There is no cost to use the makerspaces other than the cost of materials (available for select machines), and the makerspaces are located at Sand Creek, Manitou Springs, and East libraries as well as Library 21c.
