WESTLAKE, Ohio — For the people who have always wanted to actually make something, Westlake Porter Public Library is there to accommodate them.
The library’s new Makerspace and Book Nook had their grand openings Saturday (April 29).
First, the Makerspace: If your desire is to design, fabricate or create something, you can find all the tools you need in this cozy but “roomy” room in the library. The space is filled with technology, including a 3-D printer, a Cricut, a machine to produce coffee mugs, even a computerized machine like those used in manufacturing shops.
And, no, you don’t even have to worry about bringing materials to put into the machines. The Makerspace has the materials for most things.
