A new community garden will sprout in south Elyria.
Lorain County Community Action Agency, Elyria Public Library System and nonprofit foundation Our F.A.M.I.L.Y. will partner for a new vegetable patch at the library’s South Branch, 340 15th St.
The project will be part of the re-emergence of the library, which put programming on hold in 2020 due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, said Director Lyn Crouse.
Community Action Agency will pay for the plot with money from its Community Services Block Grant under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act, or CARES Act.
