Villa Madonna Academy hopes to raise more than $5 million to renovate its historic Center Building and to create a new science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) wing in its Main Building.
The Center was constructed in 1907 and housed boarders until 1979. Today it is home to fourth, fifth, and sixth grades and elementary world language classrooms.
The Main Building opened in 1958 and is home to elementary, junior, and high school students.
The Catholic school is pursuing a sustainable path of renovation and restoration for its campus buildings while modernizing them to meet today’s needs, an announcement said.
The capital campaign will assist Villa in moving kindergarten through sixth grade and its Montessori program into the Center Building.
The first floor of the Main Building will become a high school STEM wing with lab space, classrooms, and a makerspace.
