SEARSPORT — Searsport Middle and High School Technology Integrator Susan Capwell earned a spot on the 2022 Wasabi Fenway Bowl Honor Roll for her work in bringing STEM and technology education to Regional School Unit 20 students.
“It’s really nice,” she said. “It’s a really great feeling, especially right now, to get recognized for the work that we do.”
The program recognizes teachers who go above and beyond what is expected of them to support students and their communities, according to the Boston Globe website. The Boston Globe is one of several organizations that support the program.
Over 200 teachers and staff were nominated this year, but only 30 teachers are selected to the Honor Roll, according to the Wasabi Fenway Bowl webpage. Three educators per year are chosen as finalists and are awarded a grant.
