The Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale is bringing STEM education to young people and students all over South Florida. It has found a way to make science, technology, engineering and math go to the people.
The museum has a retrofitted van called the STEMobile, which has all of the tools, screens and tech that are needed to teach skills on the go.
The places it already visits and plans to visit include hotels and resorts, corporate team-building meetings, sporting events, after-school programs, schools, nonprofits and private events.
The areas of science, technology, engineering and math have been determined by educators to improve American competitiveness in science and technology development, according to the U.S. Department of Education.
