A short time ago, in a science factory not too far away, stormtroopers, droids and Jedis checked out exhibits and mingled with guests.
Lancaster Science Factory, 454 New Holland Ave. in the city, held its seventh annual Star Wars takeover, “The Force Returns,” on Saturday and Sunday, with themed workshops in the Maker Space and plenty of photo opportunities. Participating costume organizations included the Kyber Base Rebel Legion, Garrison Carida of the 501st Legion, Mid-Atlantic Droid Builders, Central PA Jedi Sith Alliance, Mav oya’la Clan of the Madalorian Mercs and the Galactic Academy Takonda School of PA.
The Lancaster Science Factory is a nonprofit science center whose mission is to “inspire curiosity, creativity and confidence by fostering an inclusive environment for hands-on STEM exploration.”
