Fort Worth, Texas (Oct. 2, 2024) – Girls Inc. of Tarrant County (GITC) today celebrated the grand opening of its new Makerspace & STEM Lab, presented by the Cotton Bowl Foundation. The 4,200 square foot space is designed to ignite girls’ interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through hands-on learning and innovative activities.
The Makerspace & STEM Lab features a variety of equipment and resources, including robotics kits, 3D printers, pottery wheels, drones, and chemistry labs. This dynamic space allows girls to explore their creativity, develop problem-solving skills, and gain critical thinking abilities.
