Edmond teen earns Eagle Scout rank

Tessavale Grace Fasching

Tessavale Grace Fasching, 18, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank within the Boy Scouts of America program. She is a member of Troop 6001 chartered to St. Mary’s Church in Edmond, under the direction of Scoutmaster Jessica Hukill.

Tessavale demonstrated leadership to others in a service project benefiting Hefner Middle School where she oversaw the assembly of Makerspace (STEM) activity bins for the students. The bins include Legos, snap circuits, brain flakes, and dash and dot robots. All bins come with detailed instructions and photos.

A favorite Scouting memory for Tessavale was in 2019 when her sister, a friend and her went to Philmont for their first trek. After a long first day of hiking, the ropes they were using to secure their bear bags snapped, and they quickly moved to plan B using pots and pans as a bear deterrent.
