DANBURY — The Danbury Education Foundation announced it will award $45,000 in grants to city school teachers in the upcoming school year.
According to the foundation, the grants will fund a series of initiatives including a computer art lab at Danbury High School, an upgrade of King Street Intermediate School’s makerspace, educational field trips and multiple hands-on science, technology engineering and math-focused programs.
“The School Year 2023-2024 grant recipients clearly demonstrated their commitment to providing unique, out-of-the-box curriculum to their students to enhance their academic experience,” the foundation’s news release stated.
In a statement announcing the foundation grants, Danbury Mayor Dean Esposito described education as his top priority.
