CIC Partners ChipLab To Drive Nigeria’s Microchip Industry

Clintonel Innovation Centre (CIC) Aba has announced a strategic partnership with ChipLab to set up a ChipLab Academy in CIC which will be training Nigerians on Microchips Design.

Microchips are small electronic devices made of semiconducting material that are used to store and process information in electronic devices.

These are the electronic components powering mobile phones, computers, robots, automobiles, electronics, airplanes, rockets, and most technology products in the world today.

The global microchips industry is valued at 592 billion USD in 2022 and is expected to grow to 2 trillion USD in 2032.

Targeting just 10% of this market will generate 200 billion USD for Nigeria, creating over 50,000 new jobs and boosting our GDP by up to 50%.

European Union has launched a €43 billion strategy to boost its semiconductor sector and double its global market share by 2030.
