HIGHLANDS — Calling all sailors young and old — The Henry Hudson Tri-District Education Foundation will hold its 5th Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta June 10. Build a boat out of cardboard and duct tape and race for the finish line.
All area schools are invited to compete in this challenging STEAM activity held each June. 
This year, the regatta will be held June 10 at The Sandbox, 325 Shore Drive, Highlands. Construction will begin at 9 a.m. and races will
begin at 11 a.m.
The event is free for participants and spectators, but pre-registration is required or for questions email [email protected]
The teams that manage to stay afloat and cross the finish line win bragging rights — and medals for first, second and third place. Awards are given according to age groups from kindergarten to adult for the fastest boat and the best decorated boat.
