JONESBORO — After spending last summer conducting virtual summer camps due to COVID-19, Beverly Gilbert, a professor of early education at Arkansas State University, said this year camps are being conducted in person.
Despite the challenges, Gilbert said the virtual summer camps ended up being great.
“It was a great literacy enrichment because we had books for different grade levels,” she said.
Gilbert said videos of the lessons were posted and ended up going viral.
“People began to email us asking about our summer virtual camps,” she said.
