If you’ve never seen a zombie on a bicycle, Saturday is your big chance.
“Zombikes” is one of 60 entries in Rutland’s annual Halloween Parade, scheduled to step off at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Organizer Colleen Shattuck said the weather forecast for the event, which has faced problems with wind and rain in recent years, is “unrealistically nice.”
“We are very excited for the forecast but we are ready for whatever Mother Nature throws our way,” she said. “We’re getting some really big entries. The hospital is back and they’re teaming up with VNA and Hospice, Community Health and Rutland Mental Health.”
