A huge crowd of officials, business owners, and supporters turned out Friday for the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Spark Innovation Center in Altavista. The former Altavista fire station has been renovated into a first class facility to provide a community of connectivity for both individuals and businesses.
It offers a number of utilities including a communal workspace, kitchenette, high-speed internet, and soundproof call booths — for $15 a day. Monthly plans span from $99 per month to $299 per month, and add wired internet connections, conference room time, and, at higher levels, a mailing address and private office.
