JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — With projected costs exceeding $2 million, the Johns Creek City Council will consider April 28 whether to build a community robotics workshop at Cauley Creek Park.
City staff has recommended allocating $1.9 million to general contractor MAPP for the design and construction of a “makerspace” at a former water reclamation plant at the park. Staff also recommend a $100,000 contingency.
In 2023, staff said the space was large enough to incorporate classrooms, a robotics competition playing field and facilities for robotics, woodworking, metalworking, 3-D printing and other uses.
