The Truckee Library has temporarily relocated its services to the library’s WorkSpace, 10879 Donner Pass Rd., in front of the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office. The library, which is a county-owned facility that opened in 1976, will be closed through mid-October for interior updates including new paint, flooring, furniture, and other upgrades.
“The space will feel brighter and more welcoming for patrons with moveable furniture and modernized seating options for programming, coworking, and reading,” says Nick Wilczek, County Librarian. “The Truckee population has multiplied by ten since the Truckee Library opened to the public nearly fifty years ago.
