Fort Worth now has its first free makerspace.
Housed inside the Fort Worth Library’s Northwest Branch, Panther Lab Makerspace will focus on coding, robotics, 3D printing, video creation, and more. There will be open studio times as well as organized classes on topics ranging from electronic circuits to robotics.
Science and technology are areas of emphasis for the library, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
“It should be a priority for everyone because that’s where the jobs are going and everyone will need the training,” Christina Garcia, library assistant at the Fort Worth Library, told the Star-Telegram.
The Northwest Branch Library is at 6228 Crystal Lake Drive in Fort Worth. Panther Lab is open from 2 to 7 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Saturdays.
