Here at the Estes Valley Library, we love January. It’s a time for the community to come
together, read a book (chosen by you last August), and learn about a new facet of our shared
experiences. And this year, it’s a time to showcase different perspectives about how we
preserve and protect stories from the past.
You won’t want to miss “Collectors: Thieves of Time or Stewards of the Past?” with Tom
Westfall on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 6 p.m. in the Hondius Room and on Zoom. There are, of
course, thieves of time: those collectors who loot sites, dig burials, violate laws regarding
collecting, and in general are a bane to responsible collectors.
