A local disability watchdog group has flagged up a number of suggestions for the design of the new Bannockburn Community Enterprise Hub.
Stirling Council planners have now approved the council’s application for a change of the use from Class 2 to Class 4 at the Royal Bank of Scotland building at 25 Quakerfield, which has been vacant since the branch’s closure in 2018.
The project includes a new businesses and support hub in the former RBS unit and the refurbishment of the library including development of Stirling’s first Makerspace facility.
Stirling Area Access Panel sent the only representation on the application. While overall the panel was neutral about the proposals, they did suggest several design amendments aimed at make the building more suited to people with a range of disabilities.
