Numerous bond and override measures were rejected following Nov. 7’s election day, and the Deer Valley Unified School District’s were among them.
The district will now go back to the drawing board to figure out how to balance its budget.
“While we are disappointed with the apparent results of (Nov. 7’s) election, our commitment to DVUSD’s mission of providing extraordinary educational opportunities for all students remains the same,” DVUSD Superintendent Curtis Finch said in a statement. “We will spend the coming months working together to determine how to best balance our budget within the limited resources afforded to us with these results.
