Dakota County libraries to reinstate full services – Twin Cities

All 10 public libraries in Dakota County are now open without capacity limits. Masks will be strongly encouraged for those who have yet to get vaccinated, but will not be required in library locations.

“We’re excited to safely welcome visitors back to the library, so they can take full advantage of the many resources and programs we offer — and do it in the ways they were accustomed to before the pandemic,” Dakota County Library Director Margaret Stone said. Many of the state’s libraries trimmed hours and services in 2020 to help stem the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

Normal operation hours at most libraries will return: Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and 9  a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The Farmington and Inver Glen libraries will be open Monday through Wednesday from noon to 8 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to  5 p.m.
