The funding is made possible thanks to National Lottery players, which enables grants to be awarded to grassroots projects, as well as larger awards to tackle issues such as improving mental health and tackling homelessness.
The majority of the funding is to small, community-based organisations; more than 80 per cent of the grants The National Lottery Community Fund award are for £10,000 or less.
The community projects which successfully applied for a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund in Clwyd West since November are:
- Ysgol Bryn Elian, Colwyn Bay – £9,420.
- Abergele Men’s Shed – £26,136.
- Action for Children – £10,000.
- Sound Radio CIC – £10,000.
- Outside Lives Ltd – £10,000.
Ysgol Bryn Elian will develop a community mini maker space to encourage primary and secondary school pupils and the wider community to develop a passion…
