$31,108 of grant money awarded to Trussville City Schools teachers

TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City Schools Foundation (TCSF) presented grants to the schools in the TCS school zone. Twenty-four Motivational Unique Strategic Helpful (MUSH) Grants were awarded for a total giving of $31,108 back to Trussville City Schools.

Teachers proposed different projects in the area that would allow students an opportunity to grow and learn in the classrooms.

The purpose of the MUSH grant program is to jump-start innovative teaching ideas throughout the Trussville City School System. This competitive grant program directly supports student learning and classroom enrichment and gives TCS teachers the resources to be innovative in “thinking outside the box.”

This year TCSF awarded many wellness grants for Yoga in the Classroom to Missy Lynam at HTHS, for sensory and calming rooms at Magnolia Elementary, Cahaba Elementary,…
